Frequently Asked Questions
The traditional dry cleaning process involves cleaning clothes
without water. A cleaning liquid called perchloroethylene is used
which effectively removes stain and dirt from clothes. The clothes
are placed in the dry cleaning machine. Once inside your clothes
are exposed to the solvent in a tumble like action. Once the cycle
is completed the clothes are placed in a drying cabinet. Finally,
the clothing items are pressed, ironed or steam ironed and placed
on a hanger in a plastic bag ready for you to collect.
Wet Cleaning is an alternative to the traditional dry cleaning
process. This uses water based solvents. Since Perc is known to
have carcinogenic effects we only use Wet Cleaning in our dry
cleaners. Once the clothes cycle finishes in the cleaning machine
they are placed in a special tumble dryer created for wet cleaning
and then pressed or steamed by our presser. There is a special
cycle for delicate items to prevent them from damage during the
cleaning process.
The majority of water based stains come out when we use specially
designed stain removers to be used with the Wet Cleaning process.
It is more helpful if you can let us know what the stain is and
also try to bring your garment in as soon as possible rather than
leaving the stain on for too long. We would advise you do not try
to use methods at home to remove stains as these methods can set
the stain deeper into the fabric or harm your garment. We will
inspect your garment and the stain and ‘spot’ these accordingly.
There are some materials which are delicate and it would not be
advisable to use stain removal again and again so some slight
staining may remain. We will advise you if this is the case with
your item.

Once your booking is received we will send our driver the same day
to collect your clothes. If you prefer to pop in, visit our van
(yes, van!) on The Street, just outside Tempur, Westfield
Stratford City, London.
The earliest turnaround is same day as long as clothes are
received by 1pm. Otherwise we can return at a time and location
convenient to you. So, for example, you might book a collection
from your office or work place and prefer clothes to be delivered
at home.
